The Flir camera takes a standard photo as well as a thermal photo. This is an overload block on a 15 HP pump.

As you can see in this picture, the center line is 63 degrees but the other lines are in the 40 degree range.

This is an open beam ceiling and the joint at the top of the wall is not well insulated

This is a picture of a ceiling. You can see the ceiling trusses but the cold spots are where the rafter braces are

This is another overload block. When we replaced it, we found the connector had never been tightened properly

The spot temperature at the cursor showed 115C and the insulation on the wire was damaged.
